Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly feature/meme hosted here at Breaking the Spine. The idea behind it is to share upcoming releases that we can't wait to get our hands on!
My pick this week is Frostblood By: Elly Blake. Even though we have a bit of a wait (till 2017) I just had to share this one because I'm really excited for it. Besides January will be here before we know it. I mean, I can't even believe it's August already! Frostblood really intrigues me though because I want to see what Ruby's powers (all the powers in general too) are exactly. Why are they unpredictable? Is she special for some reason? Why are Frostbloods and Firebloods mortal enemies? It sounds to me like Frostblood will be full of YA fantasy tropes that I love. I hope all of the tropes will be done well and that this will still be a unique read.

What do you think, does Frostblood sound intriguing to you as well? Or does it sound like it will be too similar to other YA fantasy novels? It seems like there will be a competition that sounds VERY Throne of Glass like. I definitely want to give this one a shot though and hopefully it will be different enough.
