Harry Potter Spells Tag

I found this tag here at My Thoughts...Literally! and I just had to do it. I'm sorry, but I don't know where the tag originated from. I love tags and Harry Potter so of course I had to do it. As usual I tag anyone who wants to do it. Go for it!

1.) Accio- An upcoming release you wish you could get your hands on right away.

Lady Midnight By: Cassandra Clare. I love her books! I can't wait to read another book set in the Shadowhunter world.

2.) Alohamora- A favorite series starter.

Storm Front By: Jim Butcher. This book had me hooked on the story from chapter one. The writing is so well done and witty. After finishing this book I knew  based on the character of Harry Dresden alone that this was going to be one of my favorite series of all time.

3.) Cheering Charm- A book that gave you the warm fuzzies.

Eleanor & Park By: Rainbow Rowell. It's just such an adorable novel!!

4.) Aguamenti- A book that made you ugly cry.

Clockwork Princess By: Cassandra Clare. I am really not a crier at all, but this book is one of the few that had me almost in tears. The whole entire ending part almost had me grabbing for some tissue.

5.) Expecto Patronum- A bookish hero or heroine you want around to protect you in real life.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone By: Laini Taylor- I'll take Akiva please! And what better protector than a hot angel?

6.) Lumos- A book that you intentionally spoiled for yourself.

Queen of Shadows By: Sarah J. Maas. So this wasn't an intentional spoiler, I would never do that, but I accidentally found out something about this book. I won't say what, but it has made me put off reading this book. I have mentioned before that I pre-ordered it, but I haven't read it yet and I never really said why. Well this is why. I saw a spoiler that really upset me and now I think I will hate this book and it's one of my favorite series so I have no idea when I will read it.

7.) Imperio- A book you wish you could make everyone read because you love it so much.

Picture of Dorian Gray By: Oscar Wilde. I'm sure this comes as a surprise to no one lol. This is my number one favorite book of all time and I think everyone should read it.

8.) Engorgio- A book series you wish never ended.

Harry Potter Series By: J.K. Rowling. I think most of us wish that the Harry Potter series had never ended. I will say though that I think it was ended perfectly and any more books would probably have ruined it. I hate when series drag out too long and then go downhill. Kudos to J.K. Rowling for not doing that, but I still have to pick this one.

9.) Wingardium Leviosa- A book with an uplifting message.

A Man Called Ove By: Fredrik Backman. Does this one count? I don't really read a lot of uplifting books, I usually find them so corny, but this one had a great feel good ending. I'm counting it!

10.) Obliviate- A book you wish you could forget you ever read.

The 5th Wave By Rick Yancey and The Martian By: Andy Weir. Okay, bring on the hate because I know this will probably irritate a lot of people. I have to be honest, I HATED both of these books and I don't understand their appeal. Sorry!

11.) Anapneo- An author whose books can always get you out of a slump.

I don't really have an author for this. Usually if I get into a reading slump I just pick up something small like a graphic novel, a manga, or a really short book.

12.) Jelly-Legs Jinx- A swoonworthy hero or heroine.

Obsidian By: Jennifer L. Armentrout- SWOON!!!! Daemon Black is my latest swoonworthy guy. He's pretty much the perfect swoonworthy guy in any novel that I've read.

13.) Aresto Momentum- A book that caused you to stop doing all other things until you finished it.

Obsidian By: Jennifer L. Armentrout...again. I literally could not stop reading this one. During the time that I was reading it my life was pretty damn busy. I finished reading it in the car (on my iPhone) on the way to and back from a wedding. I could NOT put it down.

14.) Crucio- A book that was painful to read (for whatever reason) or broke you.

Bliss By: Shay Mitchell and Michaela Blaney. This book was HORRID. I was so thrilled when I won it on the Goodreads giveaways, but then when I started reading it I was very disappointed. I wanted to like this one so bad, but it was just garbage about a bunch of brainless girls. I think I lost brain cells while reading it.

15.) Rictumsempra- A book that had you laughing out loud.

Brain Droppings By: George Carlin. This book is hilarious. My husband tried to get me into George Carlin for years and finally I had to when I found out he said a lot of things similar to things that I say and feel. His comedy is hilarious and smart. Definitely check him out if you haven't already. I wish I had sooner.

16.) Expelliarmus- A book that made you want to send it (or your e-reader) flying.

Pride & Prejudice By: Jane Austen. Sorry, I think this is another one that I will irritate people on. So far this is the only Jane Austen book that I have read and I didn't like it. All of the characters just annoyed me so bad and it was dull as hell.

17.) Portus- Bookish world you wish you could visit.

City of Bones By: Cassandra Clare. I want to be in the Shadowhunter world SO BAD!!

18.) Stupefy- A book with a shocking twist or ending.

Gone Girl By: Gillian Flynn. I think this has one of the best plot twists. Ever. I have a hard time finding books like this that really surprise me, but this one did. I had a feeling on some stuff, but the major twist I did not see coming at all.

19.) Avada Kedavra- A character death that destroyed you.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows By: J.K. Rowling. There were so many deaths in the Harry Potter series that really destroyed me, but for this I'm picking Snape's death. That part was just so well done and it's the one I think had the most impact for me. Close seconds would be Dumbledore and Sirius. Followed closely by Hedwig.

20.) Finite Incantatem- Best series conclusion.

Locke & Key, Vol. 6. Alpha & Omega By: Joe Hill Artwork By: Gabriel Rodriguez. This graphic novel series is just fabulous. The story, the artwork, the originality, and basically everything about it. Luckily the ending was just as bomb ass as the rest of the series.

Okay, that's it for the Harry Potter Spells Tag!! What would your answers be? Let me know in the comments or you can do the tag too! If you do the tag feel free to send me the link so I can check out what you picked. :)
