#IntoxicatinglyGood Stalking Jack The Ripper By: Kerri Maniscalco ARC Review

I won a free copy of Stalking Jack the Ripper By: Kerri Maniscalco in a Twitter giveaway!

I'm giving Stalking Jack the Ripper all the stars!! I love anything set in Victorian London and I am also intrigued by anything Jack the Ripper. This book blends all of that PLUS forensic science, detective work, and a bad ass female MC.

I really love Audrey Rose's character and that she is not a typical girl following the rules of Victorian London society. She's a strong minded, intelligent, and stubborn character. I found her to be very  entertaining and endearing. I also love Thomas's character and his snark. He's very witty and inappropriate (see picture below) for the time period. I love it. I also love how very Sherlockian (Is that a word? Don't care, I'm using it.) Thomas is. He's smart and very observant.

Stalking Jack the Ripper is a fantastic book, but just to warn you it is a slow burn. The plot is slow burning, the romance is slow burning, and really everything is a bit slow paced until near the end. However, I don't mind that in a book like this. I want to slow down and enjoy the mystery and atmosphere in books like this. It 's done so well in this book and it kept me interested and into the vibe of the book the whole way through. This is a great example of a WELL DONE slow burning read.

Overall Stalking Jack the Ripper is a phenomenal book. I will say that I did guess the ending pretty far ahead of time. However, the ending is still amazing and the writing is spot on. This is not a perfect book (gosh, those are rare), but it's well crafted and intoxicatingly good. I also love the few pictures from that era added in! I am a sucker for fun details like that. Oh, and I had no idea beforehand that this is going to be a series! When I finished the book I saw on Goodreads that it's going to be a trilogy. Hooray, I can't wait!!!

I recommend Stalking Jack the Ripper to fans of Sherlock Holmes, historical novels set in Victorian London, and to anyone interested in fictional novels about Jack the Ripper of course!
