Before the Fall By: Noah Hawley Review

So...Before the Fall is not quite what I had expected it to be. I don't know why, but I thought the story would be more focused on after the plane crashes. I know I can just read the title, BEFORE the Fall, but even still there is more backstory than I had anticipated. It didn't matter though because I still enjoyed it!
#NotWhatIExpected

I really like the writing style in this book. I can't remember anything super crazy about it, but it just grabs you right away. I immediately fell into this story and I couldn't stop reading once I picked it up.

Also, I thought Before the Fall was going to be more of a fast paced mystery, but it's pretty philosophical. It's not just about the crash and what happened after, but there is a lot about before the plane crashed and the people they were. There is a lot about human nature in general. Also there's a lot of depth in here amid all the suspense and mystery.
#DEPTH!!!!

All of the twists and turns definitely kept me on my toes and I thought I had it all figured out at one point. I was wrong though! I didn't guess correctly what really happened, until it the book was already starting to tell me everything. This is definitely a plot driven story, but I did like Scott's character and I enjoyed all of the different POVs.
#DidNOTGuessTheEnding

Overall Before the Fall is a fantastic novel!! It wasn't the most action packed novel, but there is a lot of suspense. I found it to be more of a mystery, than a thriller. It is really good even though it wasn't quite what I was expecting. Honestly, it's probably better than what I was expecting.
#Fantabulous

I recommend Before the Fall for anyone who likes suspenseful mysteries and books about plane crashes.
