Short Review Summary:
Never a dull moment!
Moonlight War picks up right where A Darker Shade of Sorcery (A Darker Shade of Sorcery Review) left off and I easily got right back into the story! A fantasy novel was exactly what I needed since I was headed to slumpsville. Luckily, this book was the perfect read at the perfect time and kept that from happening. I really enjoyed coming back to this story and to Evan, Brooke, Arantay, and the rest of the gang. Especially Arantay since he's my favorite and there seemed to be a bit more of him in this one. Woot!

I binge-read this whole book in a day. The writing is excellent, the world building is fantastic, and there is never a dull moment. I just couldn't put it down! As with the first novel, I really enjoyed the parts about the school. The training, the classes, and all of the other everyday things. It reminds me a bit of Harry Potter in that way and I love that. Of course there is more going on than just classes and I enjoyed all of that as well. Especially the werewolves and shifters!

Overall Moonlight War is just as good as the first book and I loved it. There is definitely not a second book slump happening here! I really like this dark fantasy world and how unique and imaginative it is. I can't wait to read the next one and see what happens next.
#ImaginativeWorld
I recommend Moonlight War for fans of The Dresden Files and Harry Potter books.
