Shadowfever is the best book in this series so far! This series just keeps getting better and better. The beginning of this book is extremely emotional. To avoid spoilers, I won't say why, but I just tried not to bawl like a baby. I even had to set the book aside for a few minutes a couple of times so I could pull myself together. Now that's great writing!
Since this is the 5th book in the Fever series I will keep this review super short because I don't want to ruin anything for anyone just starting the series or not on this book yet.
Everything about Shadowfever was fantastic. The writing, the characters, the sexual tension, and the plot twists!! The plot twists really made me happy because I had a few theories on things (I was right lol), but there were a lot of twists that I didn't guess. I love any book that can keep me on my toes and this one did a great job.
Overall I'm just incredibly happy with Shadowfever and with all of the answers we got in the book. I wasn't sure some things would end up how I wanted or to my satisfaction, but I have to say I'm pleased with all of it. I am a little hesitant to read Iced (Dani's book) next since I'm not sure how I feel about her character. Plus she is a teenager and I don't know if I want to read a book in this series from a teenage perspective. Well I bought Iced and Burned so I will read it soon and I hope that Iced is better than I'm expecting it to be. I think Burned goes back to Mac's perspective so either way that's good news for me.
I would recommend this series to anyone. Seriously. It's amazeballs. Go start this series before I kick your petunia.
This series really is one of those that got better and better. I honestly didn't even like Mac in the first two books, she definitely grew on me.
ReplyDeleteFor about half of the first book I didn't like Mac, but then I started to see what the author was doing with the character. Her character development is one of the best done in my opinion. I'm glad she grew on you...and on me too! Lol
DeleteYou've been really reading this series, much like me with the Kate Daniels series. Glad you are loving it!
ReplyDeleteIt's a really great series! I need to do that with the Kate Daniels series soon myself. Your reviews are really making me want to get back into it too, but I only own the first book right now.
Delete*steps back* I haven't tried this series, but it is on my wishlist so don't kick me just yet!
ReplyDeleteLol! That's okay. You get a pass. :D I will tell you though after staring this series I really wished I had started it sooner. It's fabulous!
DeleteI haven't heard of this series yet, but seeing how much praise you've given it has convinced me to look it up! Thanks for the review :)

That's awesome! It really is a great series. :D
DeleteI love this series as well. This author is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteShe sure is! I may have to try her highlander series at some point as well.
DeleteThis sounds like a win. Another book to add to my enormous TBR!
ReplyDeleteI hear that about the TBR, mine is way too long lol! :)
DeleteOoo, so cool that you thought it was the best book of the series so far! That is a great feeling. :D I admit, I have not read anything by this author. I'm glad you loved this one, Erin! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous review!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I love that too. Each book has been better than the previous so far in this series. I definitely recommend it. :D
DeleteI love that a series can be on book five and be the best of them all. I sometimes feel like authors don't know when to say when. I would love to start the Fever series when I clear some other series out of the way.
ReplyDeleteThat's so true. And some series just go on forever and end up horrible. *cough, Anita Blake series, cough* lol
