Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme hosted here at The Broke and the Bookish. The topic for this week is Top Ten Book to Movie Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To. This is a great topic and I can't wait to see what everyone else's choices are as well.
1. Fallen by Lauren Kate-
I feel like I have been waiting way too long for this one.
2. Shadowhunters by Cassandra Clare-
Okay, this is a TV show based off of her Mortal Instruments series, but I'm still counting it! JANUARY!!
3. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ranson Riggs-
Even though I only thought the book was okay, I'm kind of excited for the movie. I really want to see how it turns out, I think it could be great.
4. The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling-
I still haven't read this book (I NEED TO!) but I loved the Disney movie as a kid. I'm really looking forward to seeing this live action version.
5. The Divergent Series: Allegiant by Veronica Roth-
I still need to watch Insurgent, but once I do I will be even more ready to see Allegiant. I did not care that much for Four's parts in the book (he was so whiny and personally I don't think the male POV was written well in general), but unlike some I LOVED the ending!! I really hope they do like the last Twilight book and make the movie a lot better than the final book was.
6. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith-
This is another one that I need to read before I see the movie. I loved Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by this author (and the movie) so I'm hoping I will like this one as well. I own the book I just need to read it!
7. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 by Suzanne Collins-
I still need to see Part 1 as well. :x I'm really realizing how behind I am on everything. LOL.
8. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick-
Seriously, when is this happening? I'm ready!!
9. Matched by Allie Condie-
I can't wait!! I'm not sure when the release date for this one will be either, but I can't wait.
10. The Selection by Kiera Cass-
WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?????!!! I need release dates on these movies already. :P

DeleteWOW I am so behind I haven't heard of a few of these! I totally agree with Mockingjay and Shadowhunters, they're both going to be AMAZING :D I'm not sure about the Selection though, I don't think there's enough of a story there to be a fantastic movie, unless it's a made-for-TV type. And THRONE OF GLASS?? WHEN WHY HOW WHO WHAT?????? *hyperventilates*

I'm so behind too! I thought that Throne of Glass was just talk, but from what I've seen IT IS HAPPENING. I have no idea when, but I can't wait.

I don't do my top ten lists in any particular order really. :s I know, I'm bad, but I can't ever decide which ones are first LOL! I am so thrilled about the Fallen movie, that one actually is my #1 this time because I've been waiting AGES for this one. Yes...! I am so ready for the Hush Hush movie. :D

DeleteI didn't LOVE Miss Peregrine's either, but am still excited about the movie. I feel like without the forced in pictures everything will flow better. Also YAY for Hunger Games. I'm so excited for more J-Law. Thanks for stopping by my list :)
ReplyDeleteYes exactly! I loved the pictures in the book, but it did kind of mess up the flow. I think it would be great as a movie.
