Whisper By: Lynette Noni ARC Review

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a free ebook copy of Whisper By: Lynette Noni in exchange for an honest review.

I saw Whisper on Netgalley and decided to read it on a whim. To be honest, I thought the synopsis sounded okay, but not that unique. I haven't read anything like this in a while so I decided to give it a try. I do enjoy YA books about people who are special in some way and are being held in secret government facilities. I'm glad I did read this one because I was hooked from the very beginning!

"Jane Doe" intrigued me right away and I wanted to know what made her special. Why has she been at this facility for over two years? What is the government facility for and why does she not know after two years? There were so many questions that drove this book forward and kept me interested. As soon as an answer to a question was revealed, two more questions came into mind. Since I was desperate for more answers, I flew through the book pretty fast!

My only minor complaint is that I felt one part (where Jane decides to trust someone) was very rushed. Especially because it seemed out of character since she had been so guarded the whole book before that. I just wish more time had been spent developing that. The book wasn't very long, so I think there would have been room for that to be more developed.

Overall other than the one minor issue, I loved Whisper! The characters are well written and interesting, it's a fast and easy read, and the plot is entertaining. I need a book two, like yesterday. I highly recommend this book!!
