ZOMBIE-LIKE SHADES!
Need I say more about what drew me to Reign of the Fallen? I absolutely loved this dark YA fantasy novel. It's well written, there's a lot of action, it's unique, magical, has a bisexual MC, and the world building is spectacular. The Deadlands and the zombie-like Shades are so very well done and a bit creepy. I love it and everything about the world to be honest. Now let me get back to that bisexual MC... I immensely enjoyed Odessa's character! I feel like there aren't enough bisexual book characters, especially as the MC. (Side Note: Feel free to recommend some books with a bisexual MC to me!) I also love how kick ass Odessa is, but she still has flaws and is very emotional. I adored Reign of the Fallen and this is a new favorite book for me. I can't wait for the next book in the series to see what will happen next. I HIGHLY recommend this book for all fans of YA fantasy. Well honestly I think everyone should read it!! It's my favorite read of 2018 so far.
