I have been highly anticipating Three Dark Crowns ever since I first saw it pop up on Goodreads. So it really saddens me to say that I disliked it immensely and I couldn't even finish. This was not good for me at all.

The summary for Three Dark Crowns sounds so perfect and very alluring, but the book itself was not. To start off the book switches from all three girls POV's and all of the sisters personalities annoyed me. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind disliking characters. I don't have to like any characters to enjoy a book, but these girls are all OBNOXIOUS. Another thing I disliked was the lack of world building. I'm not sure if it's meant to be mysterious, but there was just zero world building and so the story seemed very FLAT for me. Also, the plot just drug on and on. The pacing was painfully slow and I just got so bored. I really do wish I had enjoyed this one, but I didn't like anything about it.

Overall I'm sad to say Three Dark Crowns was a big flop for me. I really wanted this one to work so bad, but it just didn't. I can't recommend this one, but if it sounds interesting then give it a try and see what you think.
