The Ultimate Book Tag!

I decided to do another tag since the last one was so fun. That one can be found here, Would you Rather Tag. I found this ultimate book tag here, Books with Bite , and the tag is originally from here Chapter Chicks. I will tag anyone who wants to do it. Tags are fun, but you don't have to actually be tagged to do it. Just let me know if you do it (put the link in the comments!), so I can go see your answers. Okay time to get started!

The Ultimate Book Tag

1.) Do you get sick while reading in the car?

No I don't.

2.) Which author's style is completely unique to you and why?

I have to pick my favorite author, Stephen King. I think his writing is completely unique because he has this ability to make you feel like you are THERE. His descriptions, particularly of towns and the people in it, are so spot that you feel fully immersed within the story.

3.) Harry Potter series or the Twilight saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.

I do enjoy both, but I definitely have to pick the Harry Potter series because:

1. It's written well. I'm sorry. Twilight is enjoyable, but the writing sucks.
2. The characters and story are so intricate and deep. There is always something to discuss when it comes to the Harry Potter series.
3. There is a school of magic for Wizards and Witches!!!!

4.) Do you carry a book bag? If so what is in it, besides books?

No, I just carry my purse. I use a big purse though so I can always fit a book inside.

5.) Do you smell your books?

Yes. I love the smell of old and new books. I do smell them and I refuse to be embarrassed about it.

6.) Books with or without little illustrations?

I'm not in kindergarten so I don't HAVE to have illustrations, but they are fun. I do enjoy books that have some in it to break up the monotony.

7.) What book did you love while reading, but discovered later wasn't quality writing?

The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. I LOOOOOVE that series, I really do, it's one of my faves. It's not the best writing.

8.)Do you have any funny stories involving your books from your childhood?

Not really. The only thing I can think of is when I used to lay out all my Goosebumps books. I was so addicted to that series and I would set all my books out on the floor and just look at them. That's weird, I know.

9.) What is the thinnest book on your shelf?

I think the thinnest is a small book of Love Poems by Emily Dickinson.

10.) What is the thickest book on your shelf?

The Necronomicon by HP Lovecraft. I think...

11.) Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future being an author?

I do. At this time I am trying to get a children's series I wrote published. I hope that being published is in my future! If not, that's okay I will continue to write anyway.

12.) When did you get into reading?

When I was about 8 or 9 and I got into the Goosebumps series. Thank you R.L.Stine!!

13.) What is your favorite classic book?

The Picture of Dorian Gray. It's my overall favorite of all time too. It's just so thought provoking and dark.

14.) In school was you best subject Language Arts/ English?

Pretty much. :)

15.) If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated, what would you do?

I would appreciate the gift. Book gifts kick ass! However, I would probably take it to Half Price Books and sell it or give it to someone else.

16.) What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?

Ok this isn't a series. But I'm picking Battle Royale. It's the Hunger Games on steriods. Also, it came first and is way better. More violence.

17.) What is a bad habit (besides rambling) that you always do while filming?

At this time I am not on BookTube. I have thought about it, so if you would like me to be then let me know!

18.) What is your favorite word?

I don't know if I have a favorite word. I use exclamation points a lot so I'm going to pick that, even though it's not a word. :P

19.) Are you a nerd, dork, dweeb, or all of the above?

I am none and I am all of those. I am just me. If things I like makes me one of those in your book, then okay.

20.) Vampires or Fairies? Why?

Vampires. I've always loved them. I do like some fairy stuff, but Charlene Harris really killed that for me with the last few books in her Sookie Stackhouse series. Sorry, Charlene. It's true. I still haven't read the last two book in the series due to this.

21.) Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?

Both! I really do like them equally. Well I guess sometimes if the Angel is too goody goody it can get dull. Oooook, I pick shapeshifters.

22.) Spirits or Werewolves? Why?

Werewolves. A werewolf is a great way to show that animalistic nature all humans have. Wait, are we talking evil spirits here? Like scary ghosts? Shoot... Idk. Spirits?

23.) Zombies or Vampires? Why?

Still Vampires. Zombies are scarier though.

24.) Love triangle or forbidden love?

I guess forbidden love, because I'm pretty burnt out on love triangles.

25.) Full on romance books or action packed with a few love scenes mixed in?

Both!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!! HaHa.

  1. Yes vampires rule all! And I hate love triangles too, even though so many of my favourite books seem to have them now!

    1. Yes! Vampires kick everyone else's butt. Lol. I'm so done with love triangles, but so many good books have one. I'm pretty burnt out on it, but I will if the book is good enough I can look past it.

  3. haha.. I have a special place in my heart for the Fae :)
So, now I'm curious. What about the Sookie Stackhouse books ruined the fae for you? lol

  4. I still like fae some, but I did not like how the Sookie stackhouse series started off all about vampires and then the fae plots seemed to take over. Not just that though (because they did werewolves and other stuff in the novels and I was fine with that) but I just didn't think the fae story lines were interesting. So then while reading the later books I just kept being irritated by all the fairy stuff. :P

  6. Hi Angel, I feel the exact same way about the Sookie Stackhouse series, I loved it in the beginning, but wasn't too thrilled when the fae pretty much took over the storyline. I am Team Vampire!
