And I Darken By: Kiersten White Review

Short Review Summary:
Damn this is a brutal book!

Sorry guys! I've been meaning to post my review for this one for a while and I haven't.

I had a great time reading And I Darken and Lada has become one of my favorite characters. I like how Lada is a different MC than usual. She's vicious! I also like how she isn't attractive like most YA MC's. Lada is such a unique character, especially in YA, and well I can't help but love an anti-hero! I do like Radu and Mehmed's characters as well. Especially Mehmed. There is something about him that I really like, but I don't know why to be honest.

And I Darken hooked me from page one and I was swept away into the setting and the story. I love the idea of Vlad Dracul as a female. Pretty much the whole concept of this book is the definition of up my alley. I feel like I've been waiting for this book and I just never knew it.

There's just so much going on in this novel. Badass MC, political intrigue, Vald Dracul alternate history, fantasy, love, unique characters, and of course BLOODY BETRAYALS! This book is so damn brutal and I love everything about it. I do have to say that I did see some things coming, but that's okay. It didn't ruin the enjoyment of the book for me at all.

Overall And I Darken is a magnificent book and I can't wait to read more of the series! This has become one of my favorite books and I hope the next book will be as good. C'mon 2017! I need the next book ASAP.

I recommend And I Darken for anyone interested in a book that's like Game of Thrones meets Vlad Dracul with a kickass female MC.
