So I decided to do Top Ten Reasons I Love Reading. I started really getting into reading when I was about 9 years old and reading just stuck with me. There are many reasons why I still love reading today. Here's just a few reasons-
1. I'm Never Bored.
Bored? Nope! I always have plenty of books to read to keep me entertained. I honestly can't remember the last time I was bored. Probably somewhere I couldn't bring a book. :x
2. I Love That Someone, Somewhere Understands.
I love that feeling when I'm reading a book and I see my innermost thoughts and feelings staring up at me from the pages. Somebody out there must understand me and be similar to me then! I'm not alone! Plus I enjoy connecting with other readers that like the same books as me!
3. I Can Go Places I Can't IRL
I wish I had money to travel the world, but I don't. Reading allows me to go on adventures to these places. Not just to other countries either, but also to other time periods and imaginary worlds too!
4. I Like Experiencing Things Through Other People's Eyes
I enjoy seeing the world the way that other people see the world. I am really fascinated by other people's viewpoints and why they feel that way. What better way to experience that then through a book?
5. I Need The FEELS
I'm a super emotional person and I really enjoy emotional books. That may sound odd, but hey it is what it is. I love reading books that make me FEEL something. Whether that's terror, sadness, loneliness, happiness, anger, or whatever. I like it all.
6. I Want More Brain Food
My mother always told me that books make you smart. While I am not sure I would say I'm very intelligent, I do know that I would be a lot dumber had I not read all of these books. I love learning new things thanks to reading and I want to keep learning!
7. Reading Helps Me De-Stress
Does this one even need an explanation? Bye, I need to escape the real world for a bit. I'll be here with my nose in a book trying to ignore my IRL problems. Lol.
8. I Love STORIES.
Another reason that I love reading is very simple. I love stories. Books, movies, TV shows, and etc. I'm not picky, I just want to find a great story.
9. I Like Spending Money On Books
What the hell would I spend all my money on if I didn't love to read? A china cabinet filled with breakable plates and stuff? No thanks, I'll take more books please!
10. I Crave Variety
I love reading because there are so many different options!! I'm the type of person that gets tired of the same old, same old very easily. With books if I'm getting burnt out I can just switch genres! There are so many and there's something for any kind of mood.
