The Dream Thieves By: Maggie Stiefvater Review

I am happy to say that The Dream Thieves is just as good as The Raven Boys was! It's also a bit confusing like the first book in the series. It's supposed to be though and that's part of what  makes this series so great. I just love Maggie Stiefvater's writing and the story just flows so well. I don't say this about many authors, but she doesn't just write books she really is a wonderful and masterful storyteller.

The Dream Thieves also has plenty of foreshadowing and hidden clues, which I have come to love about this series. Even though I keep missing it because I am so into the story. It's just so darn fascinating! I keep getting caught up in the moment and I miss stuff, but that's okay. Some of it is me being enamored with the novel, but a lot of it is also that the author is just that talented. Kudos to Maggie Stiefvater for keeping me on my toes.

I really liked that this book had more of Ronan in it. He's my favorite character for sure and he is also the deepest character. For the people that read this one, what did you think of his SECRET? I loved it and the way it was presented to the reader. This was definitely a surprise and a pleasant one. (Feel free to message me on Twitter if you want to discuss this more so we don't have spoilers in the comments. Thanks!)

So there were two big parts that made me feel all swoony. I won't say what happened, because spoilers, but if you've read the book maybe you know what parts I mean.  The first swoony part was super sweet and the second one made me all fluttery! Even though it was tame, beyond tame even. This was maybe the tamest swoon I've read, but it was so sweet and I loved it.

I do have to say that I am surprised that Blue had a little bit of a smaller role in this one. Or at least there seemed to be less from her POV. It seemed to me that this one was more focused on her Raven Boys. I was a tad disappointed we had less of Blue's POV, but luckily it didn't affect my enjoyment of the story. It was still very well done and it's not like Blue was completely absent. I'm sure the author meant it to be this way?? I don't know. The guys just really took a lead in this one, which was fine, I was just not expecting that.

Overall, I am still LOVING this series!! Everything about it is perfect or super close to perfect. I'm fangirling so hard over this series. It's on track to be one of my all time favorite series, so long as books 3 and 4 are just as good. I can't wait to see what happens next!! Especially after the way this one ended.

I still recommend this series to everyone! Seriously. Please read it and fangirl with me.

** Okay guys, I changed how a few things look on my blog. It doesn't look as good on mobile as it does on the web version, but I like it a lot better.  I know on my buttons and stuff the text size is a little off, but overall what do you think? Better or worse? **
