Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme hosted here at The Broke and the Bookish. The topic for this week is Top Ten Of My Recent 5 Star Reads.
I have to admit that I'm kind of surprised that I had so many 5 star reads. I feel like I have read so many this past year or two that were meh, but it looks like I've also read some really great ones too! I'm really excited about this topic and to share my top ten with you. I've just absolutely loved all of these books and of course I recommend them all to you if you haven't read them!
1. The Infernal Devices By: Cassandra Clare
Guys! I just adore this whole series. I honestly enjoyed it more than the TMI series, which was surprising since I loved that one so much. I gave all three of these books 5 stars and so of course I give the series as a whole 5 stars as well.
2. You By: Caroline Kepnes
You is one of my biggest surprises so far this year. I am not sure what expected when I picked this one up. I had seen it around a bit and there were a few people that we seem to have similar book tastes that rated this highly. So I picked it up! I LOVED it. It's creepy in a way that isn't always completely obvious, but allows you to imagine some things yourself that is very creepy. If that makes any sense to anyone besides me!
3. Me Before You By: Jojo Moyes
My tear ducts still aren't dry after reading this one.
4. Winter By: Marissa Meyer
I will admit that I expected this book to either be so awesome or completely suck. I have read too many series that the last book just ruined it all. I'm glad to say that this isn't one of the sucky ones!
5. First Grave on the Right By: Darynda Jones
I'm so glad I checked out this series and I can't wait to continue! First Grave on the Right has a little bit of everything so it could be a good book for practically anyone.
6. We Are the Ants By: Shaun David Hutchinson
We Are the Ants is still the biggest surprise for me of 2016 so far. I recommend everyone go read this one.
7. The Wrath and the Dawn By: Renee Ahdieh
Whyyyyyyyyyy did I wait so long to read this one? Can I have the next book now? PLEASE.
8. Obsidian/Onyx/Opal By: Jennifer L. Armentrout
So far I have read the first three books in the Lux series and have rated all of them 5 stars. I am hoping that when I read the rest I enjoy them just as much!
9. Shadow and Bone By: Leigh Bardugo
While I rated the last two books in the Grisha series 4 stars each I rated Shadow and Bone 5 stars. I liked the whole series as a whole, but Shadow and Bone was really the best book in the series and the the last two books just weren't quite as good for me.
10. Auburn: Lost Causes and Bad Investments By: Valerie Thomas
I am really enjoying this series and I am so happy that the second book is better than the first one. I rated the first one 4 stars so this series is only getting better! UGH. I need the next book already!
