Waiting on Wednesday- Alight By: Scott Sigler

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme/feature hosted here at Breaking the Spine. The idea behind it is to share upcoming releases that we can't wait to get our hands on!

My pick for this week is Alight By: Scott Sigler. This is the second book in The Generations Trilogy. I was lucky enough to snag a free copy of the first book, Alive, in the Goodreads giveaways and I just loved it! Alive kept me guessing throughout the book and it was one of those that the less you know about it before reading, the better! So I can't wait to see what Alight will have in store. I need more answers!

Expected Publication Date: April 5, 2016

Summary From Goodreads:

Alight reveals to readers the further adventures of Em, Spingate, O'Malley, Bishop, and the other young heroes introduced in Alive. In Alive, Em fought to assert herself as leader and her friends tried to comprehend their own mysterious identity; now she must wrestle not with the challenge of winning power but the grave responsibility of having assumed it, and she and her friends must contend with a grim fact: the revelation of their identity is not an answer but another question--and one with terrifying implications.

Have you read Alive? Are you looking forward to Alight as well?

  1. I won a copy in the giveaway as well this summer, but I didn't enjoy it. Interesting plot and characters, but it was too Lord of the Flies for me. By the time more was revealed, I wasn't so wowed. Not a bad read, but it just wasn't for me. Glad you loved it and hope this one is great!

    1. Sorry you didn't care for it! I love Lord of the Flies (it's one of my all time faves) so that may be why I enjoyed Alive so much.

  2. I've never read Alive but I read really great things about it! I'm hoping to read it this year since one of my reading goals is to read more books in series.
